ReadSmart 4 is built around the Cognex DataMan 290 fixed-mount barcode reader. The DataMan 290 platform combines AI-assisted code reading, advanced decoding algorithms and integrated lighting in a compact industrial reader. We integrate this reader into the marking process, so Data Matrix read results are captured automatically as part of the marking cycle.
ReadSmart 4 is built specifically for Data Matrix code reading. It doesn’t perform OCR or full verification grading, which makes it the most cost-effective option where the requirement is simply to confirm code readability.
