An ex-demo marking machine gives you the same marking performance as a new one, at a lower price. Pryor designs and builds its laser and dot peen marking machines in Sheffield, so every used machine is inspected, serviced and tested by the people who made it.

Condition grades and usage levels
Every machine has two ratings: condition (how it looks) and usage (how much it has been used).
Condition
Grade A: Looks close to new. Light marks visible only on close inspection.
Grade B: Visible marks or scuffs to panels, case or fittings. No dents or damage.
Grade C: Obvious wear such as scratches, dents or worn paint. Priced accordingly.
Condition describes appearance only. Every machine is tested and works to specification, whatever its grade.
Usage
Low: Occasional demonstrations or a small number of exhibitions.
Medium: Regular demonstrations, trials and exhibitions over a year or more.
High: Frequent use on the demonstration circuit or for training.
Laser or dot peen?
Laser marking machines produce high contrast, high resolution marks with no physical contact. They suit serial numbers, 2D Data Matrix codes and logos on metals and plastics, and run with low maintenance.
Dot peen marking machines indent the surface with a stylus to create a deep, permanent mark. They suit rough, painted or curved surfaces and parts that will be coated or heat treated after marking.

What is an ex-demo marking machine?
A machine we have used for exhibitions, sales demonstrations or customer trials. It has been used, but not in production, and is serviced and tested before sale.
Is a used machine covered by warranty?
Yes. Every ex-demo machine carries a 3-month Pryor warranty from the date of delivery.
Can you mark my sample parts first?
Yes. Send us your parts and we will mark them on the machine you are interested in, so you can check the result before you buy.
Can I see the machine before I buy?
You are welcome to visit our factory in Sheffield to see the machine running. We can also arrange a live video demonstration.
Do you deliver outside the UK?
Yes. Contact us for a delivery quote. We also work with distributors in over 90 countries who can support installation locally.
