MarkMate Laser – 30W Desktop Laser Marking Machine
The MarkMate Laser is a compact, self-contained desktop laser marking machine, designed for workshops and production environments where space is limited but marking quality cannot be compromised. Built and supported in Sheffield, UK, it delivers permanent, high-contrast marks on metals, coated metals, plastics, ceramics and a wide range of other materials.
The MarkMate Laser is now available with a choice of two 30W laser sources. The standard 30W pulsed fibre laser provides reliable, high-quality marking across the most common industrial applications, including serial numbers, data matrix codes, barcodes, logos and part identification. For applications that demand greater flexibility over marking style or material compatibility, the 30W MOPA laser source is available as an upgrade. MOPA technology offers independent control over pulse width and repetition frequency, opening up a significantly wider range of marking effects. This includes high-contrast black marking on stainless steel, colour marking, and fine, detailed marking on sensitive materials where a standard pulsed laser may not give the right result.
The MarkMate Laser is supplied as standard with Pryor’s Traceability Software, which handles everything from simple single-line text marking to database connections and the use of variable data, 2D data matrix codes and serialisation. The interface is straightforward to learn and quick to operate, with marking parameters easy to set up and adjust. This desktop laser marking machine has a compact footprint which makes it a practical fit for benchtop use, whilst the enclosed design keeps the operation safe and clean without needing additional infrastructure.
For manufacturers currently using Dot Peen, the MarkMate laser may represent a natural upgrade, providing cleaner, contrasting marks, quieter operation, and lower long term maintenance.
Note: Some photos show optional circumferential fixture fitted. This is not included in the standard model of the MarkMate Laser.

Desktop Laser Marking Machine Source Options
Laser Source Options
The MarkMate Laser is available with two laser sources, selectable at the time of order:
- 30W Standard – a conventional pulsed fibre laser, well-suited to everyday marking tasks on metals and plastics. Reliable, fast and cost-effective.
- 30W MOPA – a Master Oscillator Power Amplifier source with independently adjustable pulse width (2 to 500 ns) and a repetition frequency range of 1 to 4,000 kHz. The MOPA option is the right choice where high-contrast stainless steel marking, colour marking, or a wider range of material compatibility is required.
Full specification details for both laser sources are available in the Specification tab.
